The Apicha Community Health Center was founded in 1989 to address unmet HIV/AIDS-related needs of Asians and Pacific Islanders in New York City. Their mission is to increase access to affordable healthcare, comprehensive primary care, preventive health services, mental health and supportive services. They advocate for underserved and vulnerable people, especially Asians and Pacific Islanders, the LGBTQ+ Community and individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.​

Queer at Berkeley is the LGBTQIA resource organization at the UC Berkeley campus. Resources available at Berkeley including LGBTQ spaces, Student Organizations, as well as resource centers are available on this website.

Peer reviewed online journal from Department of Gender, Media and Cultural Studies, College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University. It is an interactive forum for new research and teaching in the area of Gender Studies in the Asian region. 

The Asian American Federation is a non-profit organization working to raise influence and well being of the pan-Asian American community through research, policy advocacy, public awareness and organizational development. They represent a network of community service agencies in the Northeast of the US, which include health & human services, education, economic development, civic participation, and social justice.

The National LGBTQ Task Force advocates and fights for full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people. They strive towards a future that accepts everyone to be themselves in all aspects of their lives. Millions of LGBTQ+ still face invisible but great barriers in every aspect of their lives. They are denied full access to basic human rights and face rejection and discrimination in housing, employment, healthcare, and retirement. Hence the Task Force is dedicated to training and mobilizing millions of activists across our nation to deliver a world where you can be you.​

The National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF) was founded due to no organized voice for Asian or Pacific Islander women from the United States to participate in the official UN conference. It is a platform where hard efforts on safety, economic justice, reproductive rights, equal educational access, health, immigrant and refugee rights, civil rights and LGBTQ+ rights can be sustained and advocated in the United States.

 

Six issue areas serve as the platform and foundation for NAPAWF’s work:

API-Family Pride is a nonprofit organization dedicated to end isolation of API families LGBTQ+ members through support, education, and conversation. Their efforts have reached over 10,000 homes, schools, and universities.

 

Services include:

1. One-on-one sessions with parents

2. Connecting parents with others of the same language

3. Conducting workshops at high schools, colleges, and adult gatherings

4. Information booths at street fairs

5. Interaction with health and diversity programs of other organizations

Asian and Pacific Islander Resources

Asian & Pacific-Islander Queers (APIQ) is a non-profit student organization at UC Davis founded in 1999. APIQ welcomes students who identify as API as well as allies regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, gender, identity or age during open community meetings. Closed meetings are held only for those who identify as both API and LGBTQQIA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Intersex, Asexual) to ensure a safe and confidential space. APIQ aims to educate and enrich the UC Davis community about queer and API issues through discussions, bonding socials and workshops. APIQ also encourages friendship, lifelong support and providing a home away from home.​
