Sexual Health

What is sexual health?

Most people think sexual health refers to only physical well-being and the lack of sexually transmitted diseases/infections (STDs or STIs) or sexual dysfunction. However, sexual health also includes “emotional, mental, and social well-being in relation to sexuality”. Sexual health should include respecting other parties and preventing sexual “coercion, discrimination, and violence” (See Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence) [1].
